Rio Tinto – Gudai-Darri

Thermal Engineering was engaged to provide cooling solutions for the crushing operations at Rio Tinto’s flagship Iron Ore mine – Gudai-Darri. Thermal Engineering selected, engineered and supplied our 200kW Chillers to support both primary and secondary crushing operations.

This project was the catalyst for a range of upgrades that are now standard features on our Heavy Mining (HM) Range of Chillers. Items such as full high level communications and large HMI touch screens were just a couple of the many upgrades implemented across these chillers.

Thermal Engineering has continued to work with the team on site to provide technical support, training and maintenance for the chillers through our dedicated service team.
